Be Prepared For Anything: Building Your Foundation for Survival

by Dale Goodwin of Survivalist Prepper

My Favorite Quotes From the Book:

“We need to take a logical look at a sometimes illogical world and formulate a plan that gives us the best possible chance for survival.”

“Let’s take a step back and look at our situation realistically and with a level head, after all the reason we prepare is so the end of the world doesn’t become the end of the world.”

My Initial Thoughts:

The first thing I love about Dale & Lisa Goodwin, is that they are realists. They are not like some prepper types who use scare tactics and overdramatize situations. They are also generalists like me, so they feel that it important to be prepared for a variety of situations. While these can include the mother load of shtf scenarios, they also include everyday personal disasters like job loss, illness, or the loss of a family member. In the book, Dale uses rational thinking to give the reader things to consider.

Dale uses his experience and his many many hours of research, to bring to you information to help you build your own solid prepping foundation. As he mentions, “You can’t run until you learn how to walk.” In Be Prepared For Anything, you will learn practical information to ensure that you and your family are prepared regardless of your financial or personal situation.

For newer preppers, on page 55 Dale has compiled a useful list of “Tips for the Beginning Prepper.” He also explains how to get back to basics and become properly prepared. Yes, there is such a thing as being properly prepared. He even helps you to avoid stockpiling the wrong items. As many seasoned preppers can attest, this has most likely happened to them at some point early on too. Not only will you learn about supplies and techniques, but Dale discusses the mind and body aspects of prepping as well.

So what if you have a stockpile of “stuff”, but then find yourself either having to leave it behind or worse taken from you? He has that covered as well by offering a list of skills that you will need to learn now, while times are calm. Dale also encourages readers to take action and build a network of like-minded people so if and when the S hits the fan, you don’t have to go at it alone.
